Congratulations to Orval Kent Food Company – One Million Hours Without a Lost Time Accident
Congratulations are extended to Orval Kent Food Company in Baxter Springs, Kansas for reaching a milestone of One Million Hours without a lost time accident on May 30th, 2006. Eddie Johnson, Compliance Manager, states, "This achievement was made possible by the dedication of all of our employees, from management to the front line workers."
The last lost time accident was December 20th 2000, which ended Orval Kent’s previous record of over One Million Hours without a lost time accident. The last Million Hour record was achieved in November of 1999, this accounted for hours from March of 1995 To November of 1999, totaling a period of 4 years and 8 months. The current Million hour record was surpassed after a total of 5 years and 5 months, a much longer period than was achieved previously.
